McKenna is an enthusiastic ecological entrepreneur with experience in mitigating environmental impact of businesses, universities, and individuals. She is fuelled by creating long lasting positive change for people and the planet. McKenna has a bachelor’s degree in sustainability from San Diego State University, graduating magna cum laude.
She led regional climate activism and hosted her own green podcast highlighting non-profits and startups before working in city environmental policy creation. She has spent years on international climate projects, bringing her to countries such as Guatemala, Cambodia, Mexico, and Israel. In 2019, McKenna was recognized as San Diego’s 40 Under 40. McKenna was the chief of staff for a travel and events company in which she developed their online community platform and led membership growth. She founded and led product development of a sustainable personal care brand achieving many milestones in the natural product space.
Now, she is the Head of Content for Climate Transformed where she books speakers, manages logistics, and moderates sessions. Outside of work, she loves spending time in the water, rock climbing, yoga, traveling, and learning new things.
