Monique is a Climate Finance Advisor to the Ministry of Environment of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over the past decade, she has worked internationally as a technical expert, focusing on climate technologies, clean energy transition, and green finance mostly in African countries. She is a board member of the Future Energy Leadership program of the World Energy Council (WEC) and sits on the Technology Executive Committee of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. She is an MPA graduate, Mason fellow and Bacon Environmental leader scholarship recipient from Harvard University. She also holds a MSc. in Energy, Environmental Technology and Economics from City, University of London.

Nour Ghadanfar is the Director of Partnerships for Greentown Labs, North America’s largest climatetech incubator. In her role, she connects and engages corporate partners with startups within Greentown’s incubators and the overall climatetech ecosystem. She is also invested in helping to promote the burgeoning innovation ecosystem in Houston. Prior to joining Greentown Labs, Nour spent two years as an urban planner focused on transportation and land use and three years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as an internal auditor. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Development and Sociology from McGill University and a Master's degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Janice is the CEO and Co-Founder of Kanin Energy, a company developing projects that convert industrial waste heat into clean baseload power. Prior to Kanin, Janice was an early employee and Director at Generate Capital, a project finance investment firm that focuses on investing in renewable energy projects. There she built North America’s largest portfolio on anaerobic digestions assets. Her role spanned across deal execution, origination, market development and asset management. Prior to Generate capital, Janice worked at NRG, one of America’s largest power producers. Janice was integral in the implementation of their renewable microgrids business line. Janice is also the co-founder of Student Energy, a non-profit which is today’s largest global charity dedicated to educating and uniting post-secondary students on energy issues. Janice is a licensed Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada. She holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University in New York, where she received an Earth Institute Fellowship. Janice also has a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan, and double majored with a BA in Philosophy and BComm in Accounting from the University of Calgary.

Now a climate tech entrepreneur, she has helped craft sustainability strategy for organizations of all sizes, from lean start-ups to the United Nations to some of the world's most well-known brands. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and an advocate for women and underrepresented groups, Hayley is passionate about making inclusivity the norm. Hayley holds an MBA from INSEAD, where she led the school's Environment & Business Club and graduated with distinction. In 2011, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from UCLA, where she ran several campus sustainability programs. Always a Californian at heart, she currently lives in Paris.

Julie has a long history of working in the engineering and science fields, and their experience with polyurethane and latex coatings, nonwovens and composites, and textile coating operations is unrivaled. Julie is a highly respected member of the scientific community, and their work has helped to shape the way that many businesses operate. Julie Willoughby has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Julie also went to Notre Dame Academy.

Magali Anderson, Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer of Holcim, is responsible for putting sustainability at the core of Holcim’s innovation pipeline but also of the company strategy and decision making. Magali joined Holcim in 2016 as Group Head of Health & Safety before being appointed to the Group Executive Committee and Chief Sustainability Officer in October 2019, a role which was expanded to her current position in 2021. Magali has over three decades of experience in the energy sector, primarily with Schlumberger. She started her career as a field engineer on offshore oil rigs in Nigeria and worked on 4 continents in both operational and functional roles. Magali graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from INSA Lyon, France.

Prior to founding Kita, Natalia spent 15 years as a business development and strategy specialist within the legal sector, including leading the Climate Risk practice strategy as Global Head of New Business at Clyde & Co LLP. Her experience with large corporations on their climate change-related challenges inspired her to help accelerate positive change through entrepreneurship. Natalia was accepted to Carbon Thirteen, the Cambridge-based venture builder for the climate emergency, where she met her two co-founders and created Kita in December 2021. She has been named among the “Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch” by NatWest and the Telegraph in November 2022.

In 2021, she joined CEZ Group as the Chief Sustainability Officer and the Head of ESG Office, where she promotes data-driven and science-based approach to tackling sustainability issues. She was the youngest person in the country to have a non-family tied seat. Dr. Rebekah Shirley is the Deputy Director for Africa, at the World Resources Institute, where she works to create widespread public access to high-quality data and insights for mobilizing sustainable development solutions. Prior to joining WRI, Rebekah was the Chief of Research at Power for All, a global non-profit organization advancing universal energy access. Over her tenure Rebekah built a novel energy research dissemination engine that fills critical knowledge gaps for practitioners and decision-makers on implementing integrated utility energy services, unlocking agricultural value-addition, and creating livelihoods in the African context, receiving multiple awards for this work. Rebekah earned her PhD and MSc from the Energy and Resources Group at the University of California, Berkeley, where as a University Chancellor’s Fellow she designed innovative tools for power system planning in emerging markets. She has over fifteen years of experience leading energy and environmental research across Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Hailing from the West Indies with roots in Jamaica and Trinidad, Rebekah now lives in Nairobi with her husband. Together they enjoy exploring Kenya’s great outdoors. She also lectures at Carnegie Mellon University Africa, where she mentors young students and researchers.
