We discuss the progress being made in the early stages of the global infrastructure rollout and the EU and US policy framework that is helping to fast-track this. Skeptics about the use of hydrogen often point to a lack of customer demand for hydrogen as a feedstock for fuel as a sign that hydrogen is nothing more than a solution looking for a problem. While advocates are overreaching with the belief that hydrogen is the solution to most of our clean energy requirements, large-scale infrastructure will be required before industries can commercially adopt hydrogen as a replacement for fossil fuels in heat generation.
